So, last Tuesday Mom and I hopped in the car and headed up to Shipshewana, IN for another fabric show!
I love doing these shows - you get to meet awesome people, see all the new goodies, and be around other quilty people and talk quilts all day - how cool is that?
So I was set up in the corner there, I had my table with the new Stitchery designs...
I also brought both of my Dueling Personalities quilts (on the bench to the left) which paired nicely with the quilt Joseph brought, made of the same collection. I made two quilts and split the line into neutrals and brights where his quilt combined them all!
Also on the table to the right we were featuring the new line by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts called Over the Rainbow (more on that later).
Here's a shot of the back of the booth. We were still showing the Christmas and Seasonal collections, I can't wait to start making quilts with these!
We also featured the new birthday collections found in the Moda Home department. It also happened to be the 15th anniversary of this show, so Mark had wonderful cupcakes there as well! But isn't this bunting adorable?!
Back to that Over the Rainbow collection... Here's a shot of the Fat 8th bundle... There's 50 batiks in the line including:
10 Neutrals and...
40 colors! Also Edyta designed a new product called Silhouettes which are laser cut applique pieces with Steam a Seam II already on the back! All you have to do is peel the paper off the back, iron them onto the fabric and stitch them down!
To learn more watch the video where Edyta explains all the details for you by clicking here.
Sorry it's taken me a while to post about Shipshewana, we got home from the show late Wednesday night and immediately turned around and had the vendor's weekend at the Lake Farmpark show. Two shows back to back! Whew! Now to get back to the grind. The show was so busy I wasn't able to take any new photos, but I may try to go out there one last time.
Today I'm off to start a quilting blitz. I have several quilts to work on and I hope to show you pictures of those as I work on them. Off to quilt, be back soon!

The Recap...
Is anyone else completely baffled that tonight is the end of 2011? This year was wonderful and more than I ever could have imagined, but even though I'm sad to see it go, I'm excited for 2012 to come.
So, this year was full of wonerful things, here's a list of highlights:
I started off the year posting on the Moda Bake Shop with a recipe for scarves, and added a few more tutorials later on.

I started off the year posting on the Moda Bake Shop with a recipe for scarves, and added a few more tutorials later on.
I went to some new places:
I went to Shipshewana a time or two
I went to the NQA Show for the first time
Ben and I went to the Western Caribbean with some friends!
And Mom and I made the trek to Holmes County, Ohio for a couple days
I was featured in a couple magazines:
June 2011 Issue - turn it over to find:
My quilt!!!!!
And the back cover of Perfect for Precuts had the Moda Bake Shop ad that included my quilt!
I made some new quilt patterns:
Charmed Living Casaba
Charmed Living Tote
Sciuridae
Cake Topper
Alphabet Stitchery: Farm Animals
Alphabet Stitchery: Bugs Bugs Bugs
Alphabet Stitchery: Noah's Ark
I was entertained by some critters in my tree:
Even these three little ones
Currently nobody is residing in the tree, but winter hasn't truly hit yet...
I did some quilting:
And I started a new feature to the blog:
Back to Basics!!!
So, whew, I'm exhausted. Looking back I can't believe I got all that accomplished!
I'm looking forward to some exciting things in 2012 including more topics in the Back to Basics tutorials, a new Moda Bake Shop recipe (coming very soon!), more travels, new patterns, and who knows what else!
But I could not have done it without all of you. The encouragement and support I get from all of those that comment, e-mail, follow my blog, or I meet when I'm out and about make this so much more rewarding than I ever thought possible! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!
So here's a farewell to 2011 and hello to 2012! See you in the new year!

Bake Shop Time Again!!!
Hop on over to the Moda Bake Shop, to see my latest recipe featuring a Fat Quarter Bundle of Mirage Batiks!
If you've never been here to visit before, Welcome!!! I've got all sorts of crazy things going on, a little Challenge from my Guild I'm working on, my garden is churning out tomatoes at a record pace, my dog likes to play in the tub, and some quilting things worked in every so often.
Plus, it's almost that time - my favorite time of year for cooking - FALL!!! It means chili and soups and casseroles and all that goodness. (I already have 2 batches of veggies prepped and ready in the freezer for the first pots of chili :] You can find the recipe for chili and other goodies by clicking on the tutorials tab at the top of the page)
I also have my own line of patterns available at quilt shops all across the country, you can check each one of those out by clicking on the Patterns tab at the top of the page. Let me know what you think of the Dueling Personalities Quilts... I'm so interested to see what kind of quilting personality you all have! Mine changes alot! Mostly with the seasons or depending on which style quilt I'm working on!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back soon so we can chat some more!!!
