You have no idea how much I need a new iron. On top of mine being a base model and 11 years-old, it's also kind of broken. The metal bit clicks out of the handle at the worst times, risking burs, well that's if the dumb thing can stay on long enough to get hot. It has an automatic shutoff switch which is now broken and it will often stay on for no longer than 3 seconds before clicking off. Very frustrating!Anyway, the reason for that rant was that I'm curious with what you replaced it with. I'm obviously in the market for a new one but I find myself out of my depth.
