The winner is...

I trusted the good ol' random number generator to make the decision for me because all of you left wonderful comments and I enjoyed reading them all. It was nice to see that many of you had learned quilting from a family member or friend and that is something that you will never forget (just remember to pass it on as well!). Others are inspired by non quilters like activists or their husbands.

I'm just so glad that we have this little connection that (excuse the pun, sorry it's really early in the morning here) threads it's way through our lives. Nothing is more important than being happy and enjoying yourself no matter what you do, but if you touch someone's life it makes it all the better.

So I know you're wondering and the winner is........

Wow what a great give-a-way!! I love tins and especially Clermont Farms:) My grandmother inspired me. She passed away in 1998 and I still miss her as she passed on her love of sewing and canning to me. Another inspiration is NieNie at http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/

Laura, you have an e-mail in your inbox and I would like to personally thank all of you who participated. I hope you had fun and I will have more to show you soon. Enjoy a nice weekend and I'm going to be experimenting in the kitchen this weekend so stay tuned to see what happens there. I got some peaches at the grocery store last night, they looked yummy, but I have no clue what to make with them. If you have any suggestions, please share.

I'm off to enjoy breakfast and maybe get some quilting in before I have to go to work, thanks again. I will definitely be doing another give away soon. Chat again soon!

  1. I'm so excited to win this fabulous give-a-way. I love the little tin and fabrics and I'm especially fond of Clermont Farms (actually anything Minick & Simpson!)! I'm also looking foward to receiving the pattern to see a sampling of your pattern line:) Thanks again for hosting such a fun give-a-way! It's at this time of the year I really miss my grandmother but it also brings back such happy memories!
