Today I am excited to announce the arrival of this adorable book, Fun-Size Quilts. I have been so excited for this book and if you've seen me talk to a group in the last year or so, this is the book I told y'all about.
Why is this book so much fun? Well, all of the quilts are small. As in they fit on a fat quarter small. But don't worry, there's a ton of projects from applique to paper piecing and everything in between. There's something for everyone! Hop on the mini quilt bandwagon with us and make your own fun-size quilt.
This is my little gem, Woven Stars. I couldn't wait to get working on this quilt and bust into my Civil War stash. Then to top it off, I hand quilted it with a bit of a modern vibe. But it's hand quilted... It's small, I figured I could handle it and get it done quickly. I'm thinking I need to make another one. Not sure which colors yet. I kept the pieces simple yet large enough so you wouldn't want to tear your hair out. That's not fun...
But let's get to the fun part. Did I mention that Martingale is hosting this blog hop and there's 16 eBook copies of Fun-Size Quilts up for grabs? Head on over to Martingale's blog to see the complete list of participants so you can head on over to each blog and enter to win.
So how do you enter to win a copy here? It's simple. This book is called Fun-Size Quilts. What else comes fun-size?
Tell me in a comment what your favorite fun-size candy is to enter for a chance to win an eBook copy of Fun-Size Quilts.
Oh heck, I can't let Martingale have all the fun. I'll also throw in a signed copy of Fun-Size Quilts to one lucky winner :)
You have until Wednesday, July 30th to enter. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI love fun-size Almond Joy bars. My problem is that I am not satisfied with just one and that would be the same with this book--I'd have to make several of those adorable mini quilts as they look so fun. kthurn@bektel.com

ReplyDeletethere is this incredible Australian licorice that comes in pink, yellow, aqua with black. As a matter of fact, the pieces might be a good concept for a quilt pattern. Never thought of that until now. Think I will lay them out on the table to see what happens. TY for offering a chance for a free book.

ReplyDeletetushay3(at)yahoo(dot)com
I like tootsie rolls.
ReplyDeleteItty Bitty KitKat bars! >^,,^< LOVE your mini quilt!
ReplyDeleteI guess Heath bars are my favorite... tho I do consider Dove dark chocolate to be a food group!
ReplyDeleteOh the difficulty to pick a favourite fun sized candy bar! Maybe a twix or a box of smarties!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fun size was Russel Stover's minis. One year a local store included those in the big halloween sale and of course after sampling to make sure it was 'acceptable' to give away I decided it was too good - those little hooligans would not appreciate the fine quality of this chocolate. Needless to say it stayed out of the bowl and became my special quilting treat. I found it paired quickly nicely with an aged merlot. :)
ReplyDeleteI really love stars!
ReplyDeleteI consider Dove Promises to be fun size......but I love Hershey's Special Dark, and Twix and Kit Kat too. the darker the chocolate, the better! bite-size are the way to go, so I can open a wrapper and pop it in my mouth while I'm sewing.....no chocolate on my hands!
This is an easy one...Kit Kats! I really like your quilt too, but Kit Kats are better for eating than Quilts or Cats.
ReplyDeleteSnickers is always my favorite! I love this book it would be fun to do a quilt along. One mini a month don't you think? Love to win one especially one signed by you. Gotta tell the truth!
