The photo that made my day...

I love quilters. They're a wonderfully creative and intelligent yet quirky bunch of people. My kind of people. I have made many friends over the years working at the quilt shop and have had many of my quilting customers turn into good friends as well.

Not to brag, but I do think I have the best customers ever (I swear). They come up with amazing quilts and colors that keep my imagination going and let me live vicariously through their quilts if even for a brief time. Sometimes I also get a note afterwards telling me how the individual receiving the quilt liked it and what their reaction was. I love getting notes like this, it keeps me going when the days get long and my back doesn't want to continue on anymore.

But then I got a note that made my day. I recently did this quilt for Betty to give to her grandson for his birthday. She e-mailed me thanking me for the quilting job I did and included this:
This is Ben reading a Dr. Seuss book while on his Dr. Seuss quilt! It just melts my heart looking at it!

So, this was just too cute not to share. It made my day and I wanted to spread the joy of this little guy with you. However, I have a hot date with my Gammill, so I gotta run! Feathers and feathers, Oh my!

  1. Adorable!!! I love to hear this kind of thing from my customers too! Especially when they open the quilt and gasp - makes all the hours on my feet dancing with my Innova so worth it!
